The Foreign Ministry will expand its diplomatic planning team on North Korea's nuclear issue.

The ministry on Friday said the team will take follow-up measures to the joint agreement reached at the latest round of the six-party nuclear talks.

A high-level strategic meeting presided over by Unification Minister Chung Dong-young Thursday decided to expand the team.

The government is considering adding to the team ministry officials first and defense and other staff later.
