Lotte Tours in Seoul says it will wait before accepting North Korea's offer to run tours to the North's border city of Gaesong.

Lotte official Lee Soon-nam on Monday told a news conference that his firm will wait until Hyundai Asan Corporation and the North resolve their differences and Lotte obtains state approval.

Lee said Lotte will not respond to the North for the time being, adding public sentiment on the issue is the most important thing.

He also denied that Lotte has received a specific proposal from the North and vice versa, adding that if Pyongyang makes an offer, Lotte will consider the positions of the Unification Ministry, Hyundai Asan and the public.
