North Korea has extended the run of its mass gymnastics performance "Arirang" to the end of the month instead of Monday as originally scheduled.

The North Korean Web site "Urikinzokkiri" on Wednesday said millions of people over the last two months have enjoyed the festival, which marks the 60th anniversary of liberation from Japanese rule.

The Web site also said South Koreans, ethnic Koreans overseas and foreigners are keenly interested in the performance, adding hundreds of South Koreans are flying to Pyongyang to watch it.
