Hyundai Asan Corporation has canceled a working-level meeting Saturday with North Korea on pilot tours to the North's Mount Baekdu.

A company source on Friday said Hyundai Asan canceled the meeting in Pyongyang since it has not decided on the North's threat to reconsider all business projects with the firm unless Kim Yoon-kyu is rehired as vice chairman.

But he cited no change in Hyundai's desire to continue talks with the North.

Kim Yoon-kyu, Hyundai's long-time point man on the North and a Pyongyang favorite, was fired for embezzlement in August.
