North Korea's official daily says Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Pyongyang this month will help bilateral ties.
In a Tuesday editorial on Chinese participation in the Korean War, the Rodong Shinumun said the North is firmly committed to continuously developing its close ties with China.
The piece also thanked Beijing for building a glass factory in the North at no charge.
Hu will visit Pyongyang from Friday to Sunday.
