WTO to convene farm product committee meeting

Sources said Wednesday the director of the International Agriculture Bureau of the Agriculture-Forestry Ministry, Choi Yong-kyu will represent Korea at the 6th and 7th special meetings of the agriculture committee of the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
The 6th meeting, slated to open March 22, will discuss proposals presented by Norway, India, Turkey and seven other countries.
The 7th meeting, to open March 26th will evaluate the debates made during the past year and discuss future negotiation plans.
