Pyongyang Allows VOA Reporter's Visit

North Korea recently allowed the visit of a reporter from the Voice of America (VOA), a broadcaster much reviled by Pyongyang authorities.

The U.S. government broadcaster aired on Friday the story of its Beijing correspondent who visited the communist state with other American reporters last week.

Pyongyang has inveighed bitterly against the Voice of America and Radio Free Asia in the past, accusing the broadcasters of waging psychological warfare aimed at undermining the North Korean government.
