Coaches Named for World Baseball Classic

The Korea Baseball Organization has selected the coaching staff of the national team to compete in March's World Baseball Classic.

The KBO on Friday said team manager Kim In-shik has added the Hyundai Unicorns' Kim Jae-bak as batting coach, Samsung's Sun Dong-yeol as pitching coach and SK's Cho Beom-hyun as head base coach.

The organization will ask the U.S. Major League Baseball to allow Korean players on American teams to train with the national team.

South Korea, the United States, Japan and 13 other nations will compete in the inaugural tournament.
