NK Delegation Arrives in Beijing for Nuke Talks

North Korean and Russian delegations arrived in Beijing Tuesday morning for the next round of six-way nuclear talks.

The North's chief delegate, Kim Gye-kwan, arrived with Russian counterpart, Alexander Alekseyev, who had been visiting Pyongyang since Saturday.

Kim briefly greeted reporters at the airport before moving to the North Korean embassy in Beijing where he will stay for the duration of the talks.

Meanwhile, Seoul's delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Song Min-soon will hold bilateral talks with Russia on Tuesday and also seek a one-on-one with North Korean officials.

More bilateral meetings are expected when the Japanese and U.S. delegations arrive later in the day, but a meeting between the North and the U.S. is not certain.

The fifth round of the six-nation talks will open Wednesday.
