Information and Communication Minister Chin Dae-je on Tuesday held information technology talks with ambassadors from the ten members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

In the ASEAN Committee in Seoul meeting, Chin briefed the envoys on the nation's IT development and future vision in addition to promoting strategies to boost cooperation with ASEAN members.

He pledged support for the ASEAN ICT Focus 2005-2010 Project and joint efforts to foster experts and policy advisors.

The envoys showed interest in the government's IT policies and the success of the domestic industry, adding they hope to learn from the country's experience and expertise through more exchanges.

ASEAN launched the committee in 1990 to hold monthly meetings of leading figures on various issues.
