South Korea plans to send economic experts to less developed countries in Asia. The program being promoted in cooperation with the World Bank is aimed at sharing South Korea's experiences in economic development and overcoming the currency crisis in 1997.

Relevant ministries and agencies are now working out details, including the selection of countries to which the delegations will be dispatched. Among the candidates are Mongolia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.
