A second group in the 12th inter-Korean family reunions arrived on Mount Geumgang Tuesday to spend three days with long-lost kin in North Korea.

Some 140 people boarded a bus in Sokcho, Gangwon Province, and arrived at the scenic mountain resort in the afternoon.

In Mount Geumgang Hotel, they met some 250 relatives from the North whom they had not seen since the Korean War.

The North's Red Cross hosted a welcoming banquet for the families.

On its second day, the South Korean group will hold individual reunions and visit the sea resort of Samilpo before returning home Thursday.
