Romanian Foreign Minister Mircea Geoana has called on Korean companies to participate in the construction of a nuclear power plant and other infrastructure projects.

Geoana made the request during his meeting with Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Lee Joung-binn.

A ministry official said Romania is planning to dispatch a business delegation to South Korea in June to explore business opportunities.

Meanwhile, Minister Lee requested Geoana give more tax breaks to an automobile factory in Romania run by Daewoo Motor.

Geoana is currently the chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. He left Seoul Friday after a three-day visit.
