The Korean Symphony Orchestra, the Seoul Arts Center's orchestra in residence since last year, will accompany the Three Tenors, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras, in their scheduled Seoul concert June 22.

The TV network, which will televise the concert live from Chamshil Olympic Main Stadium, said it has reached an agreement with the orchestra and a formal signing will take place within a few days.

The orchestra was founded in 1985, and has risen to be the most prominent private-funded orchestra in Korea through its more than 1,000 concerts. Its brass section, in particular, is reputed to be among the best in Korea.
