The research team of stem cell pioneer Hwang Woo-suk is collecting and analyzing data on egg donations in the wake of its split with U.S. researcher Gerald Schatten over ethics.

A researcher on Tuesday said the team will eventually shed light on all of the suspicions and ensure its research will proceed without a hitch.

The team is expected to announce its official position on the recent controversy after its inspection.

Schatten said he obtained information suggesting "misrepresentation" on donated eggs used in research and consulted academic and regulatory agencies before breaking ties with Hwang.
