North Korea gave warning Monday that it may decide to put an end to its suspension of missile launches, saying that the freeze, part of an agreement reached with the United States' Clinton administration, cannot continue if the new administration continues to put pressure on Pyongyang.

In a news commentary, the (North) Korean Central Broadcasting Station criticized the U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell for increasing pressure against the North by asking it to discuss a reduction of conventional weapons as well as the missile issue.

The report went on to chastise the George W. Bush administration for its hard-line tactics, saying, that the U.S. government should escape cold-war style thinking and warned that "all of North Korea's future actions would be in response to Washington's."
