A researcher who donated her ova to stem cell pioneer Hwang Woo-suk is working for his former research collaborator Gerald Schatten at the University of Pittsburgh.

Medical sources on Wednesday said that in 2003, one of three researchers from Hwang's team who went to Schatten's primate cloning institute donated her eggs to the South Korean scientist.

A college professor is also suspected of donating her eggs while working for Hwang.

The internal ethics committee of Seoul National University will soon announce the results of its probe past and present members of Hwang's team.
