Half of the country's population expects a ubiquitous world over the next five years filled with communications and interactive devices.

An Information and Communication Ministry poll released Saturday said 24 percent of the people believe a ubiquitous world will arrive in two to three years and 30 percent in five years.

On the use of commercial ubiquitous services, however, only 30 percent said they use wireless Internet on their cell phones and digital multimedia broadcasting service once or twice a month, and 25 percent said they use them once a week.

The National Computerization Agency conducted the poll on behalf of the ministry for two months on 1,700 people aged 15 through 59 nationwide.
