The International Labor Organization has approved North Korea's request to attend its annual conference to be held in Geneva in June.

A meeting between labor leaders of the two Koreas is also expected to take place on the sideline of the conference as labor groups of both Koreas plan to send delegates.

Meanwhile, the ILO urged the South Korean government to speed up legislation that will allow for multiple trade unions in one workplace.
