The Korea Development Institute says prospects look bright for inter-Korean trade next year.

After surveying some one-hundred-40 trade firms of the two Koreas, the state-run think tank found Tuesday that the inter-Korean trade outlook index stood at an all-time high of one-hundred-41.

Inter-Korean trade experts, meanwhile, rated the index at one-hundred-58-point-six, the highest-ever rating given by such analysts.

The inter-Korean trade outlook index is estimated every six months. A reading above one-hundred means a positive outlook for inter-Korean trade.

The survey also showed that 47 percent of respondents plan to expand their inter-Korean trade projects next year, 43 percent plan to maintain their current status and ten percent will reduce or suspend trade projects.
