Unification Minister to Visit Gaesong Friday

Unification Minister Chung Dong-young is set to visit North Korea’s border city of Gaesong on Friday.
The ministry announced Tuesday that Chung will visit the Gaesong Industrial Complex to inspect the operations of the industrial park and encourage South Korean firms doing business there.
Chung is also scheduled to visit an inter-Korean economic cooperation office that was opened at the end of October.
The South Korean minister will be accompanied by a 60-member delegation which will include some 40 members of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business.
The upcoming visit will be Chung’s second to the border city since last December.
