North Korea recently has moved forward the deployment of its surface-to-air missile units along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
A government official said... he got an intelligence report that the North has recently moved forward its surface-to-air (SA-2) missile teams that have been in place along the DMZ.
The official said... the Communist state's forward redeployment of the missile units might have been linked to its strong anti-American propaganda campaign in recent weeks.
Pyongyang's state-run media has stepped up its rhetoric against the United States since last month as the U.S. President George W. Bush took a tougher stance against the communist country.
He added... however, they don't know the reason.
Communist North Korea, which has based its missile program on Soviet-developed Scud technology, is known to already have SA-2 missiles in place along the heavily armed border with South Korea.
