A Seoul official on an inter-Korean committee for organizing joint ceremonies said Monday that the body will become permanent under the name "June 15th joint committee."

The official said committee members from the two Koreas in Shenyang, China, agreed Friday on the name and the adoption of a convention granting permanency to the body to implement the joint declaration on inter-Korean solidarity and reunification agreed on June 15th, 2000.

Committee members will comprise politicians and leaders from South and North Korea and abroad.

The two sides will also hold consultations and set up a joint office on the Korean Peninsula.
