North Korean media on Thursday said Pyongyang has urged South Korea to remove next year military, political and economic obstacles to improving bilateral relations.

On the final day of the 17th inter-Korean ministerial talks on Jeju Island, the chief of the North's delegation Kwon Ho-ung told the plenary session that the Korean people should be allowed to visit any place they want on either side of the peninsula.

Kwon also said political conditions or foreign influences should not affect inter-Korean economic cooperation and exchanges.
