Hyundai Asan Corporation, the operator of the Mount Geumgang tour in North Korea, says remittance of money to the North has proceeded smoothly despite U.S. financial sanctions.

The North recently shifted its base for financial transactions to Austria after the United States blocked its operations in Macau.

Washington in September said the Macau-based Banco Delta Asia was the North's primary venue for money laundering. The bank has since severed ties with the North.
