Adventure worldwide sells 80 percent stake to WPP Group plc

The local WPP affiliate said Tuesday a global communications organization, WPP Group, acquired one of Korea's top ten advertising agencies, Adventure Worldwide, J. Walter Thompson Korea,

WPP bought 80 percent of Adventure Worldwide as agreed upon March 16.

A JWT Korea employee said that the stock acquisition is complete, but WPP did not reveal the amount paid. He said however that it is at a level everyone can be satisfied with.

It has not been decided if the company's name will change.

WPP, headquartered in London, has 835 branches in 91 nations.
