The team's official Web page on Wednesday said the 27-year-old Seol hit the magic number on December 10th with a goal against Crystal Palace.
He was initially thought to have scored the Wanderers' 6,998th goal, but the team's statisticians and two dailies found discrepancies in records and corrected the error.
