Former finance minister receives Wilson award

Former Minsiter of Finance and Economy Lee Hun-jai is the recipient of the "Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service."

The award is given annually by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

At the award ceremony took place in New York Thursday.

In a statement, the center praised Lee for his role in leading South Korea's financial reforms and bringing South Korea out of its 1997 financial crisis.
