A Korean-born U.S. citizen has been indicted in Seoul. Song Hak-sam is accused of helping publish a book in South Korea that allegedly praises North Korea and its leader Kim Jong-il.

He was arrested in late February and charged with violating the National Security Law. The law bans praising or expressing open sympathy for North Korea.

The book, titled "Kim Jong-ll's Unification Strategy," was written by a member of Tokyo-based Chochongryon, a group of ethnic Koreans who are sympathetic to North Korea.
