'Scandal Won't Taint All Korean Scientists'

The U.S. journal Science says the Hwang Woo-suk stem cell scandal will not put all of South Korea's scientists at a disadvantage.

In an e-mail message sent to Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology president Park Sang-chul, Science's managing editor Monica Bradford wrote that the unethical acts of one team should not put all of South Korea's scientists at a disadvantage.

Park had earlier sent his regrets over the scandal via e-mail to Science, Nature, Cell and other major scientific journals.
