Koreas to Discuss Mount Baekdu Tours

The two Koreas will hold working-level talks Monday in the inter-Korean border city of Gaesong on pilot tours to Mount Baedku.

The Korea Tourism Organization on Saturday said the North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland accepted the proposal to hold the talks.

The organization will send its staff and those of Hyundai Asan, a leading operator of inter-Korean tourism projects, to the meeting.

Talks on the Mount Baekdu tours were scheduled for last year but were delayed after the Hyundai Group and the North feuded over Hyundai Asan's dismissal of long-time North Korea point man Kim Yoon-kyu.
