Prosecutors investigating the stem cell scandal of Hwang Woo-suk on Friday said they found his team's experiment log.

The four-hundred page notebook carrying records from May last year was found last month while investigators were restoring deleted files on a computer of Kwon Dae-ki, who headed the stem cell research team.

A prosecutor said the valuable find will expedite the probe as the Seoul National University investigative panel earlier noted that the team’s experiment log was missing.

The new lead is expected to help clear most of allegations on Hwang's fabricated theses.
