Western sports commercialism is ready to make a debut in one of the world's most isolated countries... North Korea.

Italy's world-renowned sports equipment maker, Fila, signed a deal to sponsor North Korea's national sports teams. Fila Korea said Friday that the contract was signed between Fila and North Korea's Olympic Committee.

Under the deal, Fila will donate millions of dollars worth of uniforms for athletes over the next three years. Fila will also give five thousand dollars in bonuses to every competitor who wins a medal or breaks a world record in international sporting events.

Fila provided uniforms to North Korean national players who attended the Sydney Summer Olympics last year.
