The Customs, Immigrations and Quarantine office of the Gyeongui Railway has officially launched operations.

The two-story office opened at the western inter-Korean border Monday after 15 months of construction work.

Meanwhile, the customs office for the Donghae Railway is set to kick off official operations on Thursday following the completion of its construction.

The two Koreas have been running temporary offices at their borders since July 2000 following their agreement re-connect inter-Korean railways and roads.
