The former vice chairman of Hyundai Asan has shunned participation in North Korea tour projects.

An aide to Kim Yoon-kyu said Tuesday that Kim expressed no further interest in the projects and that he wanted no further mention of his name in matters related to the North.

With the recent passing of his mother, Kim has maintained a low profile since the company fired him last year over the charge of embezzlement.

He has, however, attended meetings of the Seoul chapter of the Advisory Council for Democratic and Peaceful Unification.
