The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday called a U.S. report on North Korea's counterfeiting exaggerated and inaccurate.

The U.S. Embassy in Seoul released Tuesday a U.S. Treasury Department report saying the North's alleged financial crimes are government acts and asked for South Korea's support on the matter.

Ministry spokesman Choo Kyu-ho said the report does not reflect Seoul's position, adding Washington never made a concrete request on Pyongyang.
