The United States says North Korea is showing signs of wishing to return to the stalled six-nation talks on its nuclear issue.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said in a news conference Wednesday that there are some indications that Pyongyang wants to get back to the negotiating table.

McClellan reiterated Washington’s call on the communist state to return to the disarmament talks promptly and unconditionally so that efforts to implement the principles agreed to at the previous round of the dialogue might be pushed forward.
