Lawmakers will submit bill on Japan's atrocities during World War II

An opposition lawmaker said Monday... a group of ruling and opposition lawmakers are expected to submit a special bill to the National Assembly in the weighty ongoing process to reach the truth of the Japanese Empire's forced mobilization of Koreans during World War II.
A legislator in the Grand National Party (GNP), Kim Won-woong, said that the study group he is leading, "Gathering of Lawmakers for the Nation and Culture" is building a campaign around the bill with several civic organizations. Those are the 'Korean Council of Drafted Women for Sexual Slavery by Japan' and the 'National Issues Study Institute'." The "National Issues Study Institute" is an organization which investigates and discloses Koreans who are pro-Japan or any pro-Japanese group activities during the Pacific War.
Kim added that they are also now collecting signatures from lawmakers so that the bill can be passed in parliament by June.
Kim explained that the main contents of the bill will be to establish a presidential committee to get to the bottom of the truth concerning Japan's forced mobilization of Korean soldiers, military employees, labor workers and sexual comfort women for Japanese troops.
