Online Reunions to Resume in Feb.

The two Koreas on Wednesday will exchange requests for the whereabouts of 100 people on each side ahead of the upcoming online family reunions.

The two-day reunion, the fourth since last August, will open on February 27th as agreed at last month's inter-Korean ministerial meeting.

A Red Cross official said Tuesday online reunions play an important role given the advancing age of many separated relatives.

The two sides will exchange the requests at the liaison office in the truce village of Panmunjom.

The first online reunion was held on August 15th last year the second in November and the third in December. About 40 people from each side spoke to each other via an optic communications network in each round.
