A Japanese commercial TV station will hold a peace concert near the demilitarized zone late this month at the former building of the North Korean Workers' Party, a symbol of the division of the Korean peninsula.

A source for the concert said Wednesday, to mark the 50th anniversary of its foundation, TBS TV is scheduled to hold a music festival under the theme of peace at the North's former building for 2 hours and 30 minutes on April 30, and air the concert live in Japan.

The concert, in particular, will debut a peace song co-composed by world renowned musicians, and links the cameras from Tokyo, the United States and Mozambique.

The festival will also air President Kim Dae-jung's peace message and Nobel Peace Prize laureates' congratulatory messages.
