One of the most typical "U.S. imperialist" country songs "Take Me Home, Country Road" sung by the late John Denver was enthusiastically applauded by the North Korean audience at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre in the North Korean capital city Tuesday evening.

The song was sung by the six-member American music troupe World Solidarity Friendship Art Troupe, who arrived in Pyongyang Sunday, along with the five-member Friendship Music Band, to attend the 19th "April Spring Friendship Art Festival" there.

Their performances were televised live via the Korean Central Television Broadcasting Station for about one and a half hours.
