'Kim DJ Could Join April Ceremony in NK'

Former president Kim Dae-jung could attend in April a ceremony in North Korea marking the completion of an inter-Korean graphite mine.

The state-run Korea Resources Corporation on Friday said it built the mine in Haeju, South Hwanghae Province, with a North Korean committee on inter-Korean economic cooperation, calling the venture a successful model for joint cross-border projects.

The corporation said it is discussing Kim's visit to the North for the ceremony, but will consult the presidential office and Unification Ministry on details.

The mine will begin operation after the ceremony on April 3rd or 4th.
