The nation's overseas-based diplomats visited Saturday the Gaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea.

Upon arrival by bus, they toured manufacturing facilities that employ North Korean workers and met with officials of the Gaesong Industrial Zone Management Committee and the Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Council.

The Foreign Ministry in Seoul said the visit is expected to enhance understanding of inter-Korean relations and publicize the situation on the Korean Peninsula to other countries.
