Gov't to Notify NK of Delayed Visit

The government will notify North Korea on Monday or Tuesday of former President Kim Dae-jung's intent to delay his visit to North Korea from April to June.

Kim's aides informed the government of the postponement Sunday amid accusations by the opposition Grand National Party that the ruling Uri camp is seeking to use the trip as leverage for the May local elections.

Meanwhile, the presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae has reiterated that it will offer utmost support for the trip regardless of the timing.
