International groups and organizations from next month will hold a series of events on North Korea's human rights situation.

The American human rights group Freedom House on March 22nd will convene its third conference on the matter at the European Union's assembly hall in Brussels, Belgium.

The European Parliament and non-governmental organizations in Europe such as Human Rights Without Frontiers will hold on March 23rd a hearing on the North's situation.

North Korean defectors will give their testimonies at the hearing.

In April, a United Nations special rapporteur on the North's human rights will also make a report to the U.N. Human Rights Commission.

Religious and human rights groups in the United States on April 22nd will start a campaign to urge improvement in the North's human rights.
