Red Cross Talks Enter 2nd Day

Red Cross officials of South and North Korea opened the second day of talks at the North's Mount Geumgang Wednesday.

On the first day of discussions, the South asked the North to promptly confirm the whereabouts of South Korean abductees and POWs in the North.

The South’s delegation also urged the regularization of face-to-face and video reunions of separated families as well as exchange of mails between separated kin.

In response, the North reportedly expressed interest in family reunion events, but didn't make any special comments on Seoul’s request on South Korean abductees and POWs.

The last Red Cross meeting was held in August of last year.
