North Korea's ambassador to the United Nations says the resumption of the six-party nuclear talks fully depends on the United States.

Pak Gil-yon told a New York reception Wednesday that his government is always ready for dialogue and that the talks can resume if Washington shows sincerity.

Meanwhile, his deputy Kim Chang-guk confirmed that Ri Gun, the North's top diplomat for North American affairs, will visit Washington early next month.
