North Korea's Foreign Ministry has denounced the U.S. State Department's Drug Control Strategy report, claiming the document demonstrates Washington's "vulgar" tactics of condemning and pressuring the North.

The ministry spokesman told the North's official Korea Central News Agency Tuesday that the U.S. last year had not confirmed any North Korea-related drug incidents, but has now again fabricated data to impugn Pyongyang's reputation.

In the annual report released last Wednesday, the State Department reiterated its belief that the Stalinist North is likely supporting illegal drug production and trafficking to earn foreign currency.
