Churches of the two Koreas have adopted a joint Easter prayer for peace on the Korean Peninsular and in Northeast Asia.

The National Council of Churches in Korea said Wednesday that it wrote the prayer with the North Korea Christian Federation in the ninth general meeting of the World Council of Churches in Brazil.

The two sides also agreed to hold a joint prayer meeting in May on the North's scenic Mount Geumgang.
