Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok says the government in late February urged Pyongyang to take appropriate action on its alleged counterfeiting.

Lee on Friday called "progressive" Pyongyang's proposal to Washington on an emergency council to resolve the counterfeiting allegation, but said Washington has not yet responded.

On the North's demand to discuss the Northern Limit Line based on the 1953 armistice, he said Seoul is working on measures but reiterated the government's stance that the line is a maritime border.
